Recently a regular customer, who is retired, said to me "You have an office with a sign out front..why don't you have regular hours?" ...my reply..."Because most of my clients don't."

I think what most people don't understand is I still have 2 offices. I have my office on Scalp Ave where I meet my clients, but I also have my home office. So even though I may not be at one office...I am most definitely working at the other. I am always working. If a client calls to give me information, I have a tablet in my purse and I am taking notes. My calendar is on my phone so I can make appointments from anywhere. If my car is being serviced...I'm in the waiting room with my laptop answering emails and pricing packages. With the technology that Cruise Planners provides me with...I have access to my files from anywhere. I could be on a cruise and still talking to clients and booking trips. Which I did on the last two trips I was on.

The reason I don't have regular hours? because I have clients that want to meet with me at 9am & I have clients that want to meet with me at 7pm in the evening. Some can only come on weekends...and I am flexible that way. Plus, I worked a regular schedule for 20 years & there were times I was incredibly slow, that I wished I could be out networking, meeting more people, etc. Now I can, and I do. I learn so much by attending these meetings and meeting local business people. So, I may not be sitting behind a desk in an office 9-5, but you better believe I'm putting in at least a 12 hour day. If I'm not booking or quoting travel, I'm creating my own fliers & marketing material, putting together ideas for group trips, training on new destinations or technology, making tote bags for my clients documents, etc.

TRAVEL is my life, this business is my life. I am a professional and I have been in the travel business for 25 years now. So you can spend weeks online researching or you can come to me and I can put it all together for you in a fraction of the time...and I don't charge fees.
